Overview of Week:
As we begin the course, please read the Introduction to Composing a Life, which introduces this section of the course.
This week, we will spend time thinking about what it means to be a student at St. Catherine University. We will introduce you to our university’s mission and history as you learn about our identity as a Catholic, women’s, liberal arts institution. This week will also serve as an introduction to college-level reading and writing skills, and will introduce you to pre-reading and post-reading techniques. We will also discuss and practice how to annotate a text, which will become a routine expectation for this class. Finally, this module will contain your first writing assignment: a 1-2 page personal narrative.
